Traken was the homeworld of the Trakenites, a race of pacifists, and the capitol of the Traken Unedition. Its many plants required much care, a duty that was carried out by the Fosters.
The planet was in the system MettulaOrionsis and was watched over by the Keeper of Traken. It was said that there was so much good in the air that evil would just shrivel up and die.
According to Nyssa, Traken stopped being reliant on robotic help 12, 000 years before her time.
At some point a Trakenite colony on Serenity was founded. (Cold Fusion)
