Tide was the name used on land by a member (The Witch of the Waterfall) of the Aquakind subspecies dubbed Homomorpha sapiens, or informally Homo amphibia, by UNIT. (Homo Aqua)
Tide took over from Salt as ambassador in peace talks in the Empress Hall. Upon his arrival, he confronted Kate Stewart about the detonation of the bomb during the peace meeting (The Witch of the Waterfall) in the Romanche Trench, (Plastic Apocalypse and demanded that humanity turn over Salt, so that she could be punished according to their traditions.
He also demanded environmental change within 5 years, and threatened to turn human civilisation to rust if his demands were not met. (The Witch of the Waterfall)
Later on, he organised for the capture of domesticated dogs for meat, and argued in Empress Hall that this was equivalent to the humans eating fish, noting that their fish are family.
He later escalated matters, threatening to melt the ice caps and drown the whole world, should they not manage to clean the waters within 5 years. He evidently did not survive the Severance virus, which killed 90% of Aquakind, as Salt replaced him in the final meeting. (The End of the War)
ABILITIES
Unlike the Homospondyls of his retinue, Tide was able to engage with humanity in English, rather than his own language.
He could control water in the air, turning his staff to rust and then dust. (The Witch of the Waterfall)
