The Aqua Kind, (UNIT Briefing Project Aqua, Homo Aqua) or Aquakind, (UNIT HQ, Aquakind), The Deep) were an umbrella term for various species of reptile- amphibian- or fish-like Earth humanoids who revealed themselves to humanity in November 2025.
The Aquakind comprised many species, including Piscimorpha grandis, Homomorpha sapiens, and Homospondyl erectus, the latter representing a type of (Homo Aqua, The Deep) the race of Earth Reptiles termed Sea Devils. (The Sea Devils Homo Aqua) They considered fish to be “family”. (The End of the War)
General Austin Pierce coined the term Homo aqua to refer to the Aquakind, though he knew that it was not accurate. The term was inconsistently applied to all Aquakind or specifically to the Homospondyls. (Homo Aqua)
CULTURE
Members of Homospondyl erectus (Homo Aqua) and Homomorpha sapiens (Plastic Apocalypse) had pearls made of calcium carbonate imbedded in the base of their necks. They were 60% aragonite and 40% calcite. General Austin Pierce hypothesised that they were placed there at birth. (Homo Aqua)
