Homomorpha sapiens, informally termed Homo Amphibia, were one of the species comprising the Aqua Kind. They had the ability to communicate like humans, (Homo Aqua) and proved able to change gender as a reaction to moods. (Plastic Apocalypse)
BEHIND THE SCENES
In the Deep Dive documentary, prosthetics designer Neill Gorton stated that the Homo Aqua and Homo Amphibia were designed differently on puporse. Whereas the Homo Amphibia were designed to show their humanity, the design of the Homo Aqua was supposed to represent a lack of the familiar, and to make them seem as far removed from humanity as possible, making it difficult for the human race to communicate with them
