Homospondyl erectus, or simply Homospondyls, also called Homo Aqua, was a scientific term used by UNIT for one of the species comprising Aqua Kind. They were named due to the theory that they evolved from temnospondyls, and were identified as one type of the species which earlier humans had termed the Sea Devils, (Homo Aqua) otherwise termed Aquatic Silurians. (Blood Heat) The Homospondyl erectus individuals seen during the 2025 conflict had smaller heads and more human-like proportions overall (Homo Aqua) than the individuals roused by hibernation on other occasions. (The Sea Devils, Warriors of the Deep, Legend of the Sea Devils) This subspecies were also termed Homo Aqua. (Salt and Homo Aqua)
