In the Wish World, Lakshmi and Belinda’s aunt Devika Babu came to visit her at 11 Calico Close on 23 May, discussing the future of Belinda’s daughter Poppy and Belinda’s childhood. When Lakshmi mentioned that Belinda had been in labour for more than twenty-four hours during Poppy’s birth, Belinda panicked and ran out of the house when she realised she had no memory of the event. That night, Belinda and her husband “John Smith” were both taken in for having doubts about the nature of reality, and Mrs Flood brought Lakshmi in to watch Poppy while they were gone. When the Wish World collapsed later that night as part of the Rani’s plot to access the Underverse, Lakshmi held Poppy in terror as the house collapsed around and upon them. (Wish World)
After The Doctor restored Poppy to existence after his suicide, she was part of the reason why Belinda needed to get back to Earth at a specific time. She was looking after Poppy whilst Belinda was on night shifts, but she had to leave on 24 May as she had to play a concert in Manchester that night. (The Reality War)
