Professor Nila Sullivan was an archaeologist from Evol-1 University and a companion of the Eighth Doctor.
MEETING THE DOCTOR
Although inexperienced with field work, Nila volunteered to join an expedition party to the Farwol Catacombs. However she soon found herself lost in the catacombs, where she met the Eighth Doctor, who informed her that the expedition had departed the planet without her.
Nila accepted a href=”/8thdoctorpage” title=”Eighth Doctor”>The Doctor’s offer of a lift back to the university, however they soon found themselves being pursued by half-converted zombie-like Cybermen. The Doctor and Nila fled from the Cybermen back to the TARDIS and the Doctor successfully disabled the Cybermen.
Together they departed Farwol in the TARDIS with the intention of returning to Evol-1, however they instead arrived in 1890s London, which Nila decided she wanted to explore. (Static of the Dead)
TRAVELLING WITH THE DOCTOR
While exploring Victorian London, The Doctor took Nila to 13 Paternoster Row where she was introduced to Jenny Flint. The pair discovered that Vastra and Strax had disappeared while investigating a case.
A trip to a museum revealed that a Professor Winewood was behind the disappearances of Vastra and Strax, and after rescuing The Doctor’s friends, Nila informs him that she had compiled a list of places she would like to visit next. (Dionysia)
