Mindwarp
At The Doctor’s trial by the Time Lords for interference, The Valeyard presents The Doctor and Peri’s most recent adventure. The dying words of a Thordon warlord send the pair to Thoros Alpha, home of the Mentors — including theirold foe, Sil. The Mentor leader, Kiv, has had his intelligence enhanced by the human geneticist Crozier, but now his brain is outgrowing his skull. Crozier sets his eyes on Peri as the new host for Kiv’s brain. But when The Doctor appears to turn evil under the effects of one of Crozier’s devices, it is left to the berserk warlord King Yrcanos to save his companion.
Terror of the Vervoids
The distraught Doctor gives the court his evidence for the defence. He chooses an incident from his own future, in which he and his companion Mel arrive on the space liner Hyperion III in response to a distress call. There they battle against and ultimately destroy a hostile race of alien plants, the Vervoids, while also helping to thwart a mutiny by the ship’s security officer, Rudge.
The Ultimate Foe
while The Doctor asserts that the evidence of the Matrix, the repository of all Time Lord knowledge, has been tampered with, the mysterious and vengeful prosecuting council, The Valeyard, is confident that The Doctor will be sentenced to death.
In a dramatic intervention The Valeyard’s true identity is revealed but he escapes from the Courtroom into the Matrix, and it is into this nightmare world that The Doctor must follow – to his face his ultimate foe.
