Reginald Pye was the projectionist at a cinema in Miami, Florida in 1952. The reflection of the moonlight off his spoon his used to stir a drink he had made allowed Lux to manifest in theatre he was using. He was arrested for the disappearance of the 15 patrons that were at the screening when Lux appeared, but was eventually released. He played films to please Lux and as such he allowed a manifestation of Reginald’s late wife Helen Pye to appear as she was on one of the films in his collection. He tried to warn the Fifteenth Doctor and Belinda Chandra about the danger, but he failed. He initially ignored Belinda’s call for his matches to create a fire to stop Lux, but after the vision of his wife gave him the matches he told Belinda to run, before setting the film stock alight and causing an explosion.
