A little girl lived in Mercy, Nevada in 1870.
The little girl lived in Mercy when Kahler-Jex and the Gunslinger arrived. She and her mother would later witness the Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Williams arrive to the town.
Later, as the Gunslinger entered the town to search for Jex, the girl hid in a church with her mother and other townspeople. In the church, she would accidentally knock a pile of books over, inadvertently drawing the Gunslinger’s attention and prompting him to break in. The preacher rushed to protect her. As the Gunslinger aimed at the townspeople inside, he saw the girl looking at him in fear, and spared them.
She and her mother would watch The Doctor’s TARDIS dematerialise, and after this, she walked to the outside of town and looked upon the Gunslinger, now protecting Mercy.
At some point, later in life, she would go on to have children. Generations later, her great-granddaughter would tell her story, and that of the Gunslinger “who fell from the stars”. (A Town Called Mercy)
BEHIND THE SCENES
At the end of the story, the little girl is stated to be the narrator’s great-grandmother, revealing how they are connected to the story. Alba was uncredited for her role as the little girl.[1] For privacy reasons, her full name is undisclosed. However, The Complete History erroneously credits her as “Alba Little”, evidently a mistaken conflation of her name and part of her character’s creditation of “Little Girl”.[2]
