The Djinn was a water-vapour variform trapped in a flask on Earth for two thousand years.
In the late 19th century, Missy released the Djinn and used it to power a steam locomotive faster and faster along a ley line to generate power for her vortex manipulator. Afterwards, it was free. (A Spoonful of Mayhem)
