Dominique Dussolier was a French Navy general who was involved in the peace talks with Homo Aqua.
EARLY LIFE
Dussolier was born in January 1989, in Toulon, France, to a military family. Her father was a decorated officer in the French Navy, and her mother was a military strategist. She was educated at Ecole Navale, where she excelled academically. (Plastic Apocalypse)
NAVAL CAREER
She displayed rapid advancement in her career. She took key roles in anti-piracy missions, and led modernisation in cyber-warfare and drone technology. Her leadership in the Eastern Mediterranean was characterised by brinkmanship and a zero-tolerance approach to failure, solidifying a formidable reputation. Her approach resulted in a highly efficient and disciplined force under her command, but also led to a high turnover of officers.
Under her command, the French Navy maintained a strong presence in their key strategic regions. Her operations consistently achieved their objectives with minimal losses. (Plastic Apocalypse)
THE HOMO AQUA INCIDENT
Whilst Barclay Pierre-Dupont was being transported to a hotel for his safety after his appointment as ambassador, Dussolier surreptitiously took a picture of Barclay and leaked it to the press so that the world would know he had been appointed, due to UNIT’s attempts to keep his identity secret.
Dussolier was removed from the delegation hall during a subsequent meeting, after Kate Lethbridge-Stewart had discovered that she was the source of the leak. (Plastic Apocalypse)
However, she was present at a Cobra meeting headed by Prime Minister Harry Shaw. She felt that Barclay’s delegation was only buying them time. Kate objected to her inclusion in the meeting, citing her leak to the press. (The Deep)
PERSONALITY
Dussolier was described in her UNIT file as displaying a cutthroat and ruthless leadership style. She had a zero-tolerance approach towards failure, and was known to have removed subordinates who did not meet her exacting standards. (Plastic Apocalypse)
