At a hurriedly convened court-martial, Zoe is found guilty of treason, and is sentenced to jail, whilst Jamie is found to be a deserter, and sent to a military prison. The Doctor is to be executed at dawn.
But all is not it first appears to be. Strange mists lead to different conflicts and wars, all from different times in Earth’s history. The Doctor soon realises that the scale of the problems that he now faces is perhaps larger than he alone can deal with.
