Taron was a member of the Thas taskforce sent to Spiridon to defeat The Daleks based there. When their spacecraft crashed on Spiridon, their captain, Miro, was killed on touchdown, leaving Taron to take command. When a second taskforce arrived on Spiridon, Taron was not pleased to see that his lover, Rebec, was among them, fearing for her safety. When the taskforce first met Jo Grant and the Third Doctor, Taron was suspicious of them, he quickly came to trust The Doctor, after the Time Lord demonstrated his knowledge of Daleks and warned Codal not to open a deactivated Dalek’s casing, as that would trigger an automatic distress signal.
Ultimately, with a href=”/3rddoctorpage” title=”Third Doctor”>The Doctor and Jo’s help, Taron and the other Thals were able to foil The Daleks‘ plans to invade the galaxy, before stealing the Dalek Supreme’s spaceship and returning to Skaro. (Planet of the Daleks)
