Information

It’s time to return to the paradoxical timeline of Stranded with Paul McGann’s Eighth Doctor in the showstopping box set finale, due for release in April 2022.

Over the past two years we’ve spent time with Liv, Helen and the Eighth Doctor at his home in Baker Street, where they – and we – have made a new circle of friends in Stranded.

Living in London in the 2020s, however, has not been exactly how the time travellers would have imagined it. Now the Stranded story draws to a close, and they must face the consequences of their actions. With emotional dilemmas, a Void wave, and worst of all, a fractured future reality, the Baker Street team are out of their depth.

And, as Sergeant Andy Davidson’s fate hangs in the balance, there’s only one person to call – The Curator. But he’s changed, and it seems not a moment too soon.

This final volume stars Paul McGann as The Doctor, with Nicola Walker (Liv Chenka), Hattie Morahan (Helen Sinclair), Rebecca Root (Tania Bell), Tom Price (Sgt Andy), Avita Jay (Zakia Akhtar) and introducing Colin Baker as The Curator.

Doctor Who — The Eighth Doctor Adventures: Stranded 4 is now available to pre-order as a collector’s edition CD box set (+ download, for just £24.99) or download only (for just £19.99).

Best Year Ever by John Dorney

What happens if the world is actually fixed?

There are times when even The Doctor cannot help. And whatever the outcome, Liv and Tania have a decision to make.

Script Editor Matt Fitton said: “When producer David Richardson spoke to Steven Moffat about The Curator, the intention was that he is a fluid character. So, he’s someone who can wear different faces as the mood takes him. What’s nice is that this also reflects changes in the story. History is in flux so The Curator’s face is one of those things that’s changing around The Doctor and his friends as they try to fix everything.”

Producer David Richardson said: “It’s been a very sad time for the production team to move on from this setting and our team of recurring characters – they’ve inspired such strong drama and stories along the way. But Doctor Who is all about change, so move on we must – as we head to a powerful finale, which I’m confident won’t leave a dry eye in the audience.”
