The Daleks (Nicholas Briggs) have a new plan to conquer the cosmos and have occupied the Eternity Club, previously a friendly hideout for interplanetary explorers, to use as their base of operations.
As Bernice Summerfield (Lisa Bowerman) travels across space carrying a warning of the coming onslaught, her disparate gang of friends all have their own ways of resisting the deadly warriors from Skaro. The fight is on.
Bernice Summerfield: The Dalek Eternity is an epic audio adventure, told in eight half-hour episodes across four monthly instalments. In this month’s second release, Starll the Sontaran (Dan Starkey) and Altazar the Draconian (Shai Matheson) try to unite two warring tribes against The Daleks, and Benny arrives at a planet watched over by a most unusual god.

Producer and script editor James Goss said: “The Winner’s Tale is a painful satire about what happens when two sides insist on fighting a war rather than working things out. It features a Sontaran and a Draconian backseat driving with terrible consequences.
“And in Oversoul, we have wonderful performances both from Lisa and Nicholas Briggs as The Daleks, where Benny has to convince a whole world that they’re in terrible danger from invasion, from a race that no one seems to fear. The climax is quite extraordinary…”
Lead actor Lisa Bowerman added: “Oversoul is so well written. When the script is this good, it isn’t hard to key into the mood of a piece – and it’s always fun to have the opportunity to let rip! Benny’s righteous anger came right off the page and, odd as it may sound, it was a very enjoyable day’s recording!
“Meeting up with the Daleks is always a challenge for Benny, knowing her backstory. She has justifiable anger and righteous indignation towards them. What’s not to like about shouting at Daleks? But she’s also been known to use humour, which has always confused things.”
