Synopsis

Limited edition of 1, 500 copies on heavyweight blue vinyl, exclusilvely available from UK supermarket Sainsbury’s (not available online).

The Doctor and Leela find themselves in the middle of London at the time of a new energy crisis. The GlobeSphere Corporation seems to have all the answers – but several thousand protestors beg to differ.

What is the connection between the National Gallery and a base on the Moon? Has radical thinker Damien Stephens simply sold out, or does he have a more sinister agenda?

The Doctor has detected a mysterious energy reading. Could it be that the most evil creatures in the universe have returned to claim ultimate victory once and for all?

In an exclusive deal with Sainsbury’s supermarket, from the 25 May 2018 Sainsbury’s will be stocking a strictly limited pressing of Energy of the Daleks on blue 180gm heavyweight vinyl.

A spokesperson from Sainsbury’s said: “We’re really excited to be stocking something as iconic as The Doctor in our stores, so to have Energy of the Daleks in a limited run on blue vinyl is a massive treat for us.”

Energy of the Daleks was the first adventure since 1979’s Destiny of the Daleks in which Tom Baker has battled the Skarosian menace. For Louise Jameson, reprising her role as companion Leela, it was a first. Leela’s opening encounter with The Daleks is not going to be a pleasant experience. Is the Sevateem warrior ready for 21st Century Earth? Then again, is the 21st Century ready for Leela?

Guest stars include, Mark Benton (Doctor Who: Rose and Strictly Come Dancing), Alex Lowe (The Thick of It and Peep Show), sontaran Dan Starkey and Nicholas Briggs as The Daleks.
