Valis was a Time Lord commanderof the Tempest, a ship that acted as a decoy for the War Doctor to land on Asteroid Theta 12. She tried to escape a Dalek pursuit ship and he discovered a place to hide from The Daleks but really wanted to be in a TARDIS. She found it an honour to serve with Trelon. (A Thing of Guile)
