Kate Prendersly was a woman living in Deptford at Whitefields Lodge.
Her husband was killed during the Trafalgar Square riots. She believed it was not accidental, but murder. She went to the Library of St John the Beheaded to try to discover the reason behind his death. When John Watson and the Seventh Doctor went to talk to her about books missing from the Library, she was pyrokinetically killed by Surd to try to stop her from revealing what she knew.
