Frye was the captain of a spaceship going to the forbidden planet of Orriv. She was coming to the planet of obtain The Network and to sell it for profit. She did not realise how much in danger she was in from the Network. She was eventually killed by the Network. The Tenth Doctor got the Network to let her go. (Echoes of Extinction)
