Ben Jackson’s mother was the wife of James Jackson. She expressed interest to James in starting a family at some point before he left for Singapore, something that made him uneasy. (The Forsaken) According to one account, however, they had already begun a family. (Ten Little Aliens)
Following James’s death, she married Alfred. Although Ben did not like him, his mother was happy.
