BEHIND THE SCENES
In Robert deLaurentis’s proposed Eighth Doctor movie script The Time of My Life, The Doctor’s father “John Smith” was married to a woman named Anne Baker, and they had a daughter. This was mentioned as part of Joyce’s backstory in Unnatural History, and DeLaurentis was thanked in the acknowledgements of the book.
Anne and Daniel appeared in Jonathan Dennis’s The Killing of a Flash Boy, published in the charity anthology Missing Pieces, where the Eighth Doctor entrusted them with raising a boy with psychic powers being hunted by UNIT.
