Biography

Roxane was a dark-skinned Persian woman who married Alexander the Great and was pregnant with his child. Alexander believed that she would be great friends with Susan Foreman and Barbara Wright.

She arrived at Alexander’s deathbed and asked him who should take overonce he died, but he died before giving an answerother than “the best man “. She knelt at his side, ignoring the arguing generals and telling her husband that he had left the world to the vultures. (Farewell, Great Macedon)
